WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Foundations

Any foundation that has shown exceptional dedication to advancing the well-being of society through its substantial financial support, grants, and initiatives aimed at addressing pressing social issues or charitable causes.

Nonprofits

Any 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is a tax-exempt entity recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that is dedicated to charitable, educational, or other socially beneficial missions. These non-profits have exemplified excellence in philanthropic endeavors, fostering positive change and serving as inspirations for others in the nonprofit sector.

Corporations

Any corporation that, in addition to its regular business operations, demonstrates a commitment to making significant charitable contributions or engaging in social and community initiatives that have a positive impact on society.

Individuals

Any Individual who has made outstanding and sustained contributions to philanthropic causes and community betterment. These individuals have displayed remarkable generosity, leadership, and dedication in supporting charitable initiatives, fostering positive change, and inspiring others to engage in philanthropic activities.

This award celebrates foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to enhancing economic vitality, creating jobs, fostering innovation, and improving overall quality of life.

Excellence in Education

The Excellence in Education Award recognizes exceptional foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals that have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the advancement of education. This award celebrates educators, administrators, schools, and programs that have exemplified outstanding dedication, innovation, and impact in the field of education, inspiring students and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.

Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Award celebrates foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals who have showcased exceptional innovation, leadership, and resilience in the world of business. This award recognizes entrepreneurs who have not only founded successful ventures but have also demonstrated a profound impact on their industry, community, and beyond.

Environmental & Climate Change

The Environmental & Climate Change Award acknowledges exceptional efforts by foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding commitment, innovation, and impact in addressing environmental challenges and climate change. This honors those who have made significant contributions towards sustainability, conservation, and the protection of our planet's fragile ecosystems.

Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition The Health & Nutrition Award recognizes foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals that have demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact in the realm of health, wellness and nutrition. This award honors those who have made significant contributions towards promoting well-being, improving public health, and advancing nutritional awareness to create healthier communities.

Social Justice & Human Rights

The Social Justice & Human Rights Award celebrates foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals that have displayed extraordinary dedication, advocacy, and impact in the pursuit of social justice, equality, and the protection of human rights. This award recognizes those who have worked tirelessly to bring about positive change, challenge systemic injustices, and empower marginalized communities.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submissions for this cycle of the 2023 Philanthropy 100 Awards will open on October 30, 2023. The deadline to submit is November 27, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST. Guidelines and eligibility rules can be found below.

Step 1

Explore the award criteria centered on equity, resilience, creativity, compassion, risk-taking, and enduring dedication, while drawing inspiration from previous honorees.

Step 2

Identify a nominee(s) who fit the criteria.

3.
Step 3

Craft a statement (minimum 300 words) showcasing their well-deserved honor by highlighting their background and a transformative anecdote illustrating how their altruism in time, talent, or treasure is creating a positive impact on our world.

4.
Step 4

Complete and submit nomination form by November 27, 2023.

5.
Step 5

Honorees will be announced in December and contacted with the results.
